Legacy Bargaining Update 02: INVE$T IN U$!
As we get ready to celebrate independence and freedom, our bargaining team let Legacy management know it’s time to invest in the front-line essential caregivers who make Legacy Hospitals great.

This week we gave management our proposals on increased wages and differentials.
We proposed:
✅ $7 more per hour for every SEIU member at Legacy immediately after we vote to accept and ratify a new contract
✅ $4 an hour more each of the next 2 years of our contract
✅ Additional Longevity differentials after 20 years of service
✅ $5 an hour differential for evening shift
✅ $9.50 an hour for night shift
✅ $5 per hour Lead differential
✅ Maintaining your step when you change job classifications
Do you think Legacy management should invest in us and pay us higher wages?

Welcome Dr. Huang
We had a welcome party and signed cards to welcome Legacy’s new CEO, Dr. Huang, and let her know we want to work together for a great union contract. Dr. Huang is fortunate to come to work at a Health System with so many dedicated caregivers. We hope she will jump in and start making sure we are respected, and our bargaining proposals are accepted.
Solidarity in Action
Legacy Caregivers have been members of SEIU and advocating for strong union contracts since the 1950s when members went on strike for over a year to win their union. We’re excited in 2026 that there are more union members at Legacy. With members of SEIU, ONA, and AFSCME it’s time to show Legacy what union solidarity looks like!

Get involved!
A key to winning living wages and fairness is going to our union. We need more than the bargaining team to communicate with our 1,100 Legacy members.
How can you get involved? Join the Contract Action Team (CAT)!
What’s the CAT? The CAT are people in our union who can help share information, stay in touch with bargaining team members, and make sure everyone is involved and is taking action so we show our union support.
Want to make sure your department is getting all the updates? Join the CAT trainings or contact a bargaining team member to sign up!
