Providence St Vincent Bargaining Update

July 15, 2026 Bargaining Update

The unity we showed our on our picket line paid off in bargaining on July 15! We made progress on protecting our union strength and in compensation, and we reached 6 tentative agreements! We bargain again in August, stay tuned for next steps and actions.  We have all member meetings scheduled for September 1 and 2. Our hope is that we can continue to make progress in those two sessions, and have an agreement to recommend. If not, we will be voting on next steps.

  1. Grievance Procedure: To ensure we are all treated equally and can enforce our contract

  2. Successorship: To protect our rights and our contract if our hospital is sold

  3. Immigrant Workers Rights: We won the strongest immigration workers right language in all of Providence

  4. Education Fund: CEU credits, replacement wages, support and financial help up front to continue your education

Key issues we are still working on:

  1. Increases in Differentials

  2. Overall Compensation

  3. More Affordable Healthcare

WHAT’S NEXT?

  1. Keep showing solidarity and wear your purple on Wednesdays

  2. Bargaining on August 19 and August 26

  3. CAT meetings

  4. All member meeting September 1st  and 2nd

  5. Vote for next steps or on a contract
