Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital Bargaining Update 4
In order to provide quality care to our patients, we need a fair contract that addresses our concerns and gives us a voice on improved staffing and worker safety.
We completed our 4th bargaining session; all proposals for wages, insurance, differentials, new premium pay, retirement, SEIU Ed Fund, PTO, and so much more have been given to management.
Unfortunately, Management did not have a response to the wage proposal we gave them a month ago and instead proposed a 1-year contract which would keep us from maintaining alignment with SEIU 49 SHS Valley workers in the other hospitals. This is unacceptable — we would be starting the process of bargaining again before the ink on this contract is even dry, putting everything we have worked hard for during this bargaining at risk.
NOW IS THE TIME TO SHOW OUR UNITY FOR A FAIR CONTRACT!
