Bargaining Update #09: We Deserve Better!
Our bargaining team showed incredible dedication today…
…continuing to make strong progress by bringing together proposals on several crucial topics. These include Just Cause Discipline, the Grievance process, Layoff language, Seniority, Job Bidding, Types of Employees (FT/PT/On-call), Hours of Work and Overtime, as well as Computer Access during paid time.
During the April 23rd bargaining session, your team made great strides in addressing non-economic proposals, and we’ve now passed most of these to management for a response. Our focus remains on pushing management toward agreement on these foundational issues, so we can move forward to tackling the more critical economic matters, wages and benefits.

Legacy Still Says NO to Fair Pay!
It’s hard to believe that it’s already been over a month since our bargaining team presented a comprehensive economic proposal aimed at bringing Mt. Hood’s compensation and benefits in line with regional standards.

In addition, we’ve put forward proposals for increases in current differentials and introduced new ones, including shift, longevity, bilingual, lead, and more. Your bargaining team is eager and ready to move forward with the economic discussions.
