My raise isn’t just 5%—it’s the difference in my family to deal with the rising cost of groceries, gas, and other bills. Everyone deserves a raise that actually makes that difference.
— Virginia Mendoza, EVS, KSMC

Over the last year and a half, we never stopped organizing and building the power needed to make the words of our 2023 National Agreement a reality. Now it is officially here in black and white!

This contract reflects our sacrifices, unity, and the power of the largest healthcare strike in U.S. history. From staffing improvements to historic wage increases and new pathways for training, it’s proof of what we can achieve when we fight together.

Highlights of our victory:

  • Historic raises: 21% in ATBs — the highest wage increases in Coalition history — and groundbreaking minimum wages.

  • Staffing improvements: A real process to address short staffing, reduce reliance on agency, and invest in frontline workers.

  • Upskilling & training: New pathways to help workers grow into hard-to-fill jobs.

  • Stronger voice on the job: A more transparent PSP, improvements for remote workers, and increases in KP's funding of our LMP programs.

  • Retiree medical wins: More money in your HRA, bigger premium subsidies, and full coverage for all Coalition regions.

And remember, management agreed to every word. If they forget, we remind them. If they stall, we push. This agreement represents our power and serves as our roadmap to ensure Kaiser Permanente invests in staffing, respects our voices, and supports the patients and communities we serve.

**Law requires us to give a 10-day notice to hold a sign, so please do not hold a sign while on the line.**

As we celebrate our anniversary our siblings in the Alliance are having their own challenges with getting their contract and have called for a strike from October 14-19. We can show our support off the clock during lunch and before or after work. We will get more information about the strike out soon. Check with a steward to know your rights while the Alliance is on strike.
