To Whom it May Concern at Legacy Health System, We are concerned neighbors, patients, business owners, religious leaders and elected officials who live or work near Legacy Good Samaritan or Legacy Emanuel hospitals. We support the important role these hospitals play in our community. We know that members of SEIU Local 49 at Emanuel and Good Samaritan work hard to provide quality patient care and support services that keep the hospital running safe and smoothly. We support their effort to strengthen and unite their unions so they can be better advocates for patients and continue to deliver quality care to our community. We are concerned about reports that workers at Emanuel work under a different contract and receive different pay and different treatment than workers at other Legacy hospitals. We support equal treatment for equal work, and urge you to settle a fair contract at Emanuel hospital that allows workers at both hospitals to be stronger together. Add your message here:
