CNA, Emanuel Hospital

What are your qualifications for this office? I am a member in good standing with SEIU 49 for over 15 years. I have been employed with Legacy for over 25 years. I have management experience (not at Legacy). I am also a small business owner.

Union experience not itemized above: I served on the CNA2 board for negotiations concerning the CNA2 classes and changes this last Spring and Summer. I attended many Emanuel contract bargaining meetings as a silent, interested member. I was involved in postering, handing out fliers, attending rallies, phone banking, and emailing members about our 2008 Emanuel contract.

Why are you seeking this office? I feel I am a good candidate for this office as I am well known by many Emanuel and Good Samaritan employees and would fairly represent all SEIU 49 members, not just Legacy, as an Executive Board member.

What are your goals for SEIU during your term of office?  I intend to be a fair and active member of the Board, learn as much as I can about issues at hand, and seek ways to help resolve issues as part of a team.
